The news is all good. The mighty HAL WILLNER, my friend and creative partner of countless years, will be mixing my record at Trout Recording in Brooklyn in mid-July. What makes me happiest about this is that Hal is mixing because he loves the music, not just because he loves me. I know that because he keeps playing the disc I gave him for the likes of Lou Reed and Bill Frisell. Anyway, there are 7 tracks to work on, five of my own composition, and perhaps all of them will make it onto the debut.
The recordings feature Brandon Ross on guitar, me on vocals and rhythm guitar, Charlie Burnham on violin, and Doug Wieselman on bass clarinet.
